Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Australia - Hanoi
Fly to Hanoi; upon arrival you will be met & transferred to your hotel for two nights; enjoy the welcome dinner. (D)
Day 2: Hanoi
Starting your tour with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which contains the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. Afternoon explore the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam and the impressive Ethnologic Museum, dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. The beautiful West Lake and the History Museum are not to be missed. Tonight enjoy the water puppet show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. (B/-/D)
Day 3: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay
Enjoy a full day excursion to Ha Long Bay. We drive through the Red River Delta, check in the deluxe old junk; after fresh seafood lunch, take the fantastic cruise to exotic islets with Dog Island, Incense Urn Island, Sail island, Fighting Cocks Island, which are naturally formed by process of erosion between the sea water and limestone mountains, explore the Surprise Cave; stay overnight on board of Junk Cruise. Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Sapa
Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. Sitting on the upper desk we can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the crystal-clear water of the bay. A morning cruise to visit Man's Head Island, Tortoise Island; explore Luon Cave by small bamboo boat. Visit to Bai Tu Long Bay; return to Hanoi to board the overnight train (4 berth soft sleeper) to Lao Cai. (B/L/-)
Day 5: Lao Cai - Sapa
Upon arrival we drive to Sapa; enjoy the picturesque scenery along the way leading towards Sapa, a mountainous area of stunning natural beauty and diverse ethnic minorities; we explore Ta Van Village on two-hour trekking tour through a terrace paddy field and discover lifestyle of the Dzay Minority. Stay at Sapa for two nights. (B)
Day 6: Sapa Trekking
Free at leisure in the morning until we take a short trek to Cat Village to discover the real daily life of ethnic people by chatting with them. (B)
Day 7: Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi
After breakfast, we walk to visit Ham Rong landscape; board overnight train (4 berth soft sleeper) for Hanoi. (B)
Day 8: Hanoi - Duong Lam
Upon early arrival transfer to the hotel; afternoon explore Duong Lam ancient village - the homeland of Ngo Quyen & Phung Hung – two national heroes in Vietnamese history. Stay two nights in Hanoi. (B)
Day 9: Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Tam Coc
We drive to Ninh Binh called as "Halong Bay on land" where vast the limestone cliffs rise out of the rice paddies. Enjoy spectacular scenery during the boat trip to Tam Coc Caves with visit to the Bich Dong Pagoda; rest of the day free at leisure to explore Hanoi. (B/L/D)
Day 10: Hanoi - Australia
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport (B)
Day 11: Arrive Australia
