Daily Itinerary
Day 1 (Sat) Fly Australia – Hanoi
Depart Australia for Hanoi; upon arrival welcome by your guide and transfer to your hotel; rest of the day at leisure; stay at Flower/Platinum 2 for two nights
Day 2 (Sun) Hanoi
Hanoi is a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples; The city tour includes such as Hu Chi Min’s Mausoleum and his house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda; the Temple of Literature, Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda on the edge of West Lake; Lake of the Restored Sword and exploring the Old Quarter. Day 3 (Mon) Hanoi / Halong Bay
Depart for 3.5-hour drive to Halong Bay, journey through the countryside and villages; check in your boat for the overnight journey into the Bay; overnight at Bai Ho Junk (B/L/D)
Day 4 (Tue) Halong Bay / Hanoi / Danang / Hoi An
Return to Halong city and transfer to Hanoi for one hour flight to Danang; on arrival transfer to Hoi An; overnight at Hoi An Trails (B)
Day 5 (Wed) Hoi An / Hue
Take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchant’s homes, the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge, a Chinese communal hall and the colourful markets; continue to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Stay at Park View Hotel for two nights (B/L/-)
Day 6 (Thu) Hue
Full day visit of the former imperial capital of Vietnam starts with a boat trip on the Perfume River to Hue’s best known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda; continue to the Imperial Citadel, cyclo ride through the Quarter; afternoon explore the mausoleum of former Emperor Tu Duc with its tranquil settings of gardens and lakes followed by the elaborate European influenced mausoleum fo Emperor Khai Dinh. Day 7 (Fri) Hue / Ho Chi Min City
Transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Min City, also named Saigon. Enjoy the full day city tour in the bustling Chinatown, the Thien Hau Temple; explore lively Binh Tay Market; visit the War Remnants Museum, the former Presidential Palace & the Nortre Dame Cathedral. (B/L/-)
Day 8 (Sat) Ho Chi Minh City / Mekong Delta
Cruise the many tributaries of the Mekong to visit Cai Be floating market wonder through vibrant tropical fruit gardens as well as visiting home cottage industries making “Pop” rice. (B/L/-)
Day 9 (Sun) Fly Ho Chi Minh City / Australia
Transfer to the airport for departure flight (B)
