Day 1 Fly Australia - Ho Chi Minh City
Fly with Cathay Pacific Airways to Ho Chi Minh City, known as Saigon. Upon arrival you will be met & transferred to your hotel. Stay at the Palace Hotel for two nights.
Day 2 Cu Chi Tunnels We travel northwest to uncover the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground defence network. Later visit Notre Dam Cathedral and explore the bustling Ben Thanh Market. (B/L)
Day 3 Saigon - Mytho & Catho This morning we drive to My Tho, a peaceful town on the bank of the Mekong River. Take a fascinating river cruise, stroll in the coconut farms and enjoy the sampan ride drifting along the palm-shaded muddy creeks. Stay at Cantho Golf Hotel for one night. (B/L)
Day 4 Cantho - Saigon We start early morning with a sampan ride along the Mekong River to see one of the most amazing sights in the delta, the bustling Cai Rang & Phong Dien floating markets. Later drive to Saigon and check in the Palace Hotel for one night. (B/L)
Day 5 Fly Saigon - Dalat Free at leisure until we take the afternoon flight to Dalat, built by the French as a summer escape. Stay at the Saigon Dalat Hotel for the next two nights. (B)
Day 6 Dalat Today we travel north to Lang Bian Mountain to explore the traditional Lat Village. Later visit Dalat Cathedral. (B/L))
Day 7 Dalat - Nha Trang Drive towards the east coast to Nhatrang. Stay at Nhatang Lodge for the next two nights. (B)
Day 8 Nha Trang Experience the coastline of Nha Trang on aboard the boat as we set out for the first stop at Tri Nguyen Aquarium. Relax on the Beach of Hon Tam Island. (B/L)
Day 9 Nha Trang - Danang - Hoian This morning fly to Danang, and then drive to Hoian, a well-preserved trading port. Visit the fascinating Cham Museum, followed by a walking tour to discover the city's highlights. Stay at Hoian Hotel for two nights. (B/L)
Day 10 Cooking class in Hoian This morning explore the bustling farmer's market with a short cruise on Thu Bon River. At a local village we join in a Vietnamese cooking class. After a tasty lunch, start the walking tour to discover the hidden charms of this ancient town. (B/L)
Day 11 Hoian - Hue We travel overland to Hue via the scenic Haivan Pass. Our afternoon city highlights include the former Imperial Citadel, a world cultural heritage and the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda. Stay at Park View Hotel for one night. (B/L)
Day 12 Fly Hue - Hanoi This morning explore King Tu Duc's Tomb, dated back to the 19th Century. Later we fly to Hanoi. Stay at the Sunway Hotel for two nights. (B/L)
Day 13 Train Hanoi - Sapa This morning tour Ho Chi Minh Complex, including HCM Mausoleum and the colonial Presidential Palace. Explore the Temple of Literature, followed by a cyclo ride through Hanoi's Old Quarter, known as "36 Streets". After the famous performance of the water puppet, board the overnight train departing for Sapa. (B/L)
Day 14 Sapa
After our breakfast at the hotel, we start to discover the stunning natural beauty, the diverse ethnic minorities and the colourful local markets. The daily lifestyle of the local tribes will impress you. Stay at Chau Long Hotel for one night. (B)
Day 15 Sapa - Hanoi Free at leisure to explore the amazing local markets on your own pace until you are transferred to the train station to board the overnight train to Hanoi. (B)
Day 16 Hanoi - Halong Bay Enjoy a picturesque drive to Ha Long Bay, one of the world's natural wonders. Get onboard our cruise vessel 'Indochina Sails', our fantastic journey begins as we sail to the naturally formed islets and islands. Stay overnight on the cruise ship. (B/L/D)
Day 17 Halong Bay - Hanoi Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck and enjoy the breathtaking views of the odd-shaped islands. Later drive to Hanoi and check in the Sunway Hotel for one night. (B)
Day 18 Fly Hanoi– Australia
