Day 1: Australia - Saigon
Fly to Saigon; upon arrival met & transfer to your hotel for two nights; enjoy the welcome dinner. (-/-/D)
Day 2: Mekong Delta
We drive to My Tho, a prosperous town in the Mekong Delta, renown for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields; enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River, visit an orchard on an island and a snake farm. (B/L/-)
Day 3: Saigon - Siem Reap
Fly to Siem Reap, a provincial capital in Cambodia; afternoon we explore the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm and view the magnificent sunset at Phnom Bakheng. Stay at Siem Reap for two nights. (B/-/-)
Day 4: Siem Reap
Enjoy the beauty and splendour of sunrise at Angkor Wat, World Heritage Site since 1982; discover the Terrace of Elephants, Banteay Kdei and Neak Poan. (B/-/-)
Day 5: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh
We fly to Phnom Penh, upon arrival met & transfer to check in our hotel. Afternoon visit the National Museum of Khmer Arts, Silver Pagoda on the same grounds of Royal Palace, stay one night in Phnom Penh. (B/-/-)
Day 6: Phnom Penh – Vientaine
Fly to Vientaine, afternoon visit the Great Sacred Stupa - That Luang, Wat Phra Keow, Wat Sisaket and the Arc De Triomphe. Stay overnight in Vietntaine. (B/L/-)
Day 7: Vientaine - Luang Pra Bang
Fly to Luangprabang; explore this beautiful town, visit Wat Visounalat, known as “the Watermelon Stupa”; the ornate Wat Mai; and Wat Xieng Thong, an exquisite 400 year old royal monastery complex. Late afternoon, climb Phousi Hill, with its derelict anti – aircraft gun and revered shrine, to view the sunset over the Mekong and mountains beyond. Stay at Luang Pra Bang for three nights. (B/-/-)
Day 8: Luang Pra Bang
Travel up the Mekong by a motorboat to the Pak Ou caves, a mystical pilgrimage site above the river. Over the past five centuries, kings, princes, merchants, and peasants have come to the caves to worship, leaving behind more than 3,000 statues of the Buddha. (B/-/-)
Day 9: Luang Pra Bang
Visit the Royal Palace, now the National Museum, continue visiting H’mong Ang K’hmu villages, a weaving village and the Khouang Si Falls. (B/-/-)
Day 10: Luang Prabang - Hanoi
Fly to Hanoi; afternoon visit the Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam, the Restored Sword Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, stroll around the 36 streets of the Hanoi old quarter. Tonight enjoy the Water Puppet Show; stay at Hanoi for one night. (B/-/-)
Day 11: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Visit the famous Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple.
Afternoon we drive to Halong Bay - one of the world’s natural wonders, maybe the most beautiful tourist destination of Vietnam. Halong Bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes with 1969 islets. Stay at Halong Bay for one night. (B/L/-)
Day 12: Ha Long - Hanoi
Take a deluxe private boat trip to visit Halong Bay, enjoy the excursion to Heaven Grotto, Wooden Cave, Bai Tho Mountain, Tortoise Rock, and Toad Islet. Stay at Hanoi for one night. (B/L/D)
Day 13: Hanoi - Australia
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for flight home (B/-/-)
