Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Australia - Saigon
Fly to Saigon; upon arrival met & transfer to your hotel for three nights; enjoy the welcome dinner. (-/-/D)

Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels
We drive to Cu Chi to visit the incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the Independence War; afternoon we visit the War Remnants Museum and bustling Chinatown with Thien Hau Temple. (B/-/-)

Day 3: Saigon - Mekong Delta
Enjoy the boat ride on Mekong River to visit the Cai Be floating market where many kinds of seasonal fruits and vegetables are traded on boats. Continue our boat ride into the countryside of Vinh Long Town; you are invited to the local homes, fruit & bonsai gardens and workshops. (B/L/-)

Day 4: Mekong Delta - Saigon
Start 3-hour cruise to Cai Rang and Phong Dien, to see the big floating market on the Mekong Delta, where local farmers display their farm products to trade for goods. Drive back to Saigon with a lunch stop at My Tho. (B/L/D)

Day 05: Saigon - Dalat Highland
We fly to Dalat, the former French colonial hill station town founded over 100 years ago by a French scientist, Dr Alexander Yersin; visit the Summer Palace of the last emperor of Vietnam - Bao Dai King, and Hang Nga Guesthouse, known as the ‘Crazy House’ to the locals because of its bizarre architecture. Stay two nights in Dalat. (B/-/-)

Day 6: Dalat
We explore Lat Village located at the base of Langbian Mountains, where the ethnic tribes live, see Lat houses built on the piles with rough plank walls and thatched roof; enjoy the scenic train ride to Trai Mat. (B/-/-)

Day 7: Dalat - Nha Trang
We head eastward to Nha Trang, a small beautiful seaside resort town located in the central South Coast. Stay at Nha Trang for two nights. (B/L/-)

Day 8: Nha Trang
Start a relaxing day with a boat ride to experience the coast of Nha Trang, to swim or snorkel or to relax on the beach. (B/L/-)

Day 9: Nha Trang - Hoian
We fly to Danang city; upon arrival transfer to Hoian. Visit the fascinating Cham Museum. Hoi An - an exceptionally well-preserved ancient town of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Stay at Hoian for two nights. (B/-/-)

Day 10: Hoian - Tra Que
Stroll in Hoian’s colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. Travel to Tra Que Village, and walk through the market gardens. Arriving at Tra Que’s Family House we have a chance to freshen up before beginning our cooking class, taught by the family chef; afternoon enjoy a walking tour through the Old Quarters to see the town's landmarks of Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient Assembly Hall, Phuc Kien Temple. Day 11: Hoian - Hue
Travel across Hai Van pass to Hue. Visit the former Imperial Citadel - World Cultural Heritage - where the highest offices of Vietnam's Feudalism were established. Royal Citadel consists of more 100 beautiful constructional works divided many sectors. We will visit Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City. Tonight dressed in royal style clothes, enjoy “Royal dinner“ with delicious food while listening to melodious music and having a feel of being the King and Queen. Stay at Hue for one night (B/-/D)

Day 12: Hue - Hanoi
We explore the imperial heritages including the beautiful pagoda of Thien Mu, the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor and a cruise on the Perfume River to enjoy the scenic countryside as well as a visit to the Mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. Fly to Hanoi and stay for two nights. (B/-/-)

Day 13: Hanoi
Explore HCM complex including Mausoleum & House, Ba Dinh Square, Governor’s Palace, and the Temple of Literature. Visit the Ethnology Museum, visit “Hilton Prison”, a Complex of The Hoan Kiem Lake; enjoy one hour cyclo tour to visit the Hanoi Old Quarter. Watch the Water Puppet Show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. (B/-/-)

Day 14: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Enjoy a full excursion to Ha Long Bay. We drive through the Red River Delta, check in the deluxe old junk; after fresh seafood lunch, take the fantastic cruise to exotic islets with Dog island, Incense Urn island, Sail island, Fighting Cocks island, which are naturally formed by process of erosion between the sea water and limestone mountains, explore the Surprise Cave; stay overnight on Junk Cruise. Day 15: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. Sitting on the upper desk we can enjoy the breath - taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the crystal-clear water of the bay; visit Luon Cave and the splendid Sung Sot grotto. Brunch served while cruising through the bay to the pier. Return to Hanoi, enjoy the farewell dinner and stay overnight. (B/L/D)

Free at leisure until transferring to Hanoi airport to take departure flight (B/-/-)

Day 17: Arrive Australia
